How It Works:

  1. Visitor approaches the entrance.

  2. Guard scans the visitor's MyKad to capture identity details, or manually inputs additional information.

  3. Guard reviews and approves or denies the entry request.

How It Works — Three Flexible Check-In Methods

Choose the workflow that fits your building — or run all three side by side.

Method 1: OCR Scan

  1. Guard scans the visitor's IC card, driver's licence, or passport.

  2. OCR automatically reads and extracts visitor identity data — no typing required.

  3. Visitor presents code.

Method 2: QR Pre-Registration

  1. Host invites visitor via a QR code.

  2. Visitor scans the QR code on arrival; a webpage opens on their phone to fill in their own details.

  3. Visitor's phone generates a confirmation QR code upon submission.

  4. Guard scans the confirmation QR — visitor info is instantly retrieved for review and approval.

Method 3: Mobile App

  1. Owner registers visitor details via the Micro ID mobile app.

  2. Owner sends a unique QR code directly to the visitor via the app.

  3. Visitor presents their QR code to the guard on arrival.

  4. Guard verifies and approves visitor entry.

Single Shared Final Step: Once approved through any method, Micro ID's Access Control system automatically grants or denies gate or door access based on guard approval status.
